This improvisational life

I’ve been performing improv comedy in Los Angeles for over seven years on house teams, paid residency bookings, at national festivals, and via live-streamed pandemic shows. It’s a great way to improve listening, communicating, ideating, mindfulness, presenting, sharing, collaborating, team building, and literally anything in life. And because I truly believe this, I teach improv at whichever agency I’m working.

I’m also available to teach lessons to YOUR agency, office, party, or book club. And If you’ve never played before, perfect! I happen to specialize in teaching beginners. Email me for details.

We look sweet, but our “travel team” gave San Fran one hell of a show.

WOW!

WOW! is a longform improv show featuring a rotating cast of the women of Westside Comedy Theater.

After training, and playing on house and indie teams for years, I realized I had never played with all women, not even in class or at a “jam.” I emailed the theater’s creative director and literally one minute later, WOW! was born.

He gave me a monthly time slot to manage and produce. I called it Women Crush Wednesdays, booking all-women teams from around the city for the first half-hour and ending with a WOW! The shows are incredible. The listening is phenomenal, the players are generous and supportive and bold and hilarious and high-energy and brilliant, and I could talk about it all day. We draw an incredible crowd and I hope you can see us play one day.

Women Crush Wednesdays and WOW! are going strong at the Westside Comedy Theater every third Wednesday at 9pm.

David & Sammy Fall in Love

If you love love, and love comedy, you'll love David and Sammy Fall In Love. David and I are a real life couple who fall in love for the first time on stage over and over again in our romcom-style genre improv show. It’s very adorable, super cheesy and proves the odds of two people falling in love while reaching for the same piece of fruit, anonymously chatting online or pretending to be strangers in front of an audience are actually pretty high.

Gravity

Gravity is a team of interdimensional travelers who have been to depths of the universe unfathomable by earth-bound humans. Inspired by a suggestion from the audience, and themes, characters or ideas from the wild worlds we’ve seen, we improvise a show.

Catch us at the Westside Comedy Theater every other Monday on House Team Night at 8pm. Get there early so you don’t miss our other-worldly opening.
